Less is more in this revived townhouse in Porto’s art district, which has been carefully restored by the collective Departamento Arquitectura. Many of the building’s 19th-century features have been retained & paired with modern, minimalist interiors including custom furniture, patterned tiles & tall beamed ceilings. Located on the first floor, facing Rosário street, the emphasis lies on how small is special & all guests need is the little living room with a kitchenette, an alcove with a double bed & a bathroom with a shower. Out the back, there’s a sun-soaked garden, while the top floor apartment has a deck overlooking the city’s rooftops.

Highlights: The apartment boasts great natural light due to its three large windows, which are perfect to sit by while reading a book.
Our favourite room: There’s only one & it’s very chic & cosy.
Services: The house is self-catered but the owners are on hand to help with anything you might need during your stay.

The Neighbourhood: Located in the arts district, there are plenty of cool galleries, shops, cafes on your doorstep, as well as a small organic store perfect for those essential breakfast supplies.
Things to Know: Since it's a 19th-century building the apartment doesn't have an elevator & parking can be tricky, but book a space with the owners before you arrive if you can. The apartment belongs to the owners so availability is rare, book it while you can!
