DINE ESCAPES

In August 2023, inspired by our journey’s across Portugal so far, we opened the doors to our first physical space in the hope that we could bring our combined learnings and new found communities together. The result is austa, a farm-to-table restaurant, coffee shop and kitchen designed in collaboration with Studio Gameiro, led by a connection to the land in our chosen home of the Algarve, Southern Portugal.

Our mission during our travels with Design Escapes has always been to provide a platform for creative communities and their projects. On the way, drawn always to spending time with the countries countless creators and craftsmen, winemakers and producers, we had the idea to bring our findings together in one comprehensive place for our own community to use as a place to discover sources for their own journey of discovery over good food and wine.

Today, many of these people are the quality-driven minds who have provided us, and continue to grace us with everything from our interior objects, to the honestly grown, sourced and seasonal ingredients that end up on some of their plates and coffee cups.
