Palacio de Grilo
DESIGN FILE
Conceived in the eighteenth century by Don Pedro, the first Duke of Lafões, the Palacio de Grilo, a kingdom dedicated to dreams, offers what the new owners have graced as a ‘territory for the imagination’ in the heart of Lisbon, in celebration of ‘the art of living in a different way’.
Adorned with frescos by some of the most prominent artists of the 1700s, the halls & gardens of this magnificent dreamworld, conjured by the duke, are preserved with a nostalgic grandeur & have recently played host to some of the present days most prolific creatives (Spanish fashion brand, Loewe, launched their new homeware collection there in late 2021 & Cabana Magazine featured the palace in a past issue).
Sift through the Design File & uncover the splendour of this sleeping beauty undergoing slow & steady phases of rebirth for an equally dreamlike future.
