In the East Algarve, a stone’s throw from the fishing town of Tavira & the regions vast island beaches, Casa Estrelita hides away as a small & pretty Quinta-come-guesthouse; a quiet two-bedroom retreat renovated with traditional Portuguese restorative character.

Surrounding the property, winding pathways & a courtyard leads to a shared turquoise swimming pool bathed in dappled sunlight. The bedrooms surround it, & are effortlessly chic, while the common areas lend themselves to conviviality. Here in the countryside, at the heart of a field of lemon & olive trees, is a friendly & relaxed spirit, where Casa Estrelita allows us to be romanced by the slowness of life that the Southernmost region of Portugal is so famous for.

Room Service

Location: Tavira, Algarve.

Price: Two suites start at 120€ per night each.

Highlights: There are no frills at Casa Estrelita meaning relaxing into a stay here feels like one in your very own Algarvian farmhouse. The setting is spectacular, surrounded by olive trees & with views from the roof to the hills beyond.

Our favourite room: The Suite Estrelita, located on the south wing of the house is private & steps out onto its own little terrace.

Services: Cleaning is provided every day if the room is vacated before eleven o’clock. Breakfast is also included.

The Neighbourhood: The house is located close to the historical, salt-white town of Tavira, so dip into local life when you can pull yourself away from the pool. There are some wonderful little restaurants in the neighbourhood too, while the beaches are just a ten-minute drive & a little boat ride away.

Things to know: The two rooms at Casa Estrelita are private and rented separately, so if you would prefer the place to yourself, rent both rooms.

The Map

Casa Estrelita is located close to the town of Tavira, around a twenty minute drive from Faro. Fly to Faro & rent a little car to take a road trip while finding some freedom while you’re there.
