A typical white & blue-trimmed fisherman’s house in the heart of Comporta, Casa dos Pescadores is a contemporary three-bedroom, self-catered retreat for those who like to be in the centre of the buzz, but also just far enough away from it to hibernate in solitude.
With renovation & interior design by Julie de Halleux, who travels the world sourcing stylish artisanal art and objects, soothing beach-shack interiors are typical of the cool Comporta crowd & complemented with modern amenities. A dippy pool in the cactus lined garden is a great way to cool off after a day on the beach or cycling through the rice paddies.

Location: Comporta, Alentejo.
Price: Low season starts at 400€ per night with a minimum stay applicable.
Sleeps: Casa dos Pescadores can comfortably accommodate up to six people in three cosy bedrooms.
Highlights: The location of Casa dos Pescadores means Comporta village is within walking distance to little bars & elegant boutiques, so you can come & go as you please. This coastal stretch is an unexpected setting for a thriving creative community so pack an extra suitcase for your finds.
Services: The house is self-catered, however, Lucília, the full-time housekeeper, is also an excellent cook & can prepare delicious meals if you want to rest up. The swimming pool is private while daily cleaning & breakfast are included.

The Neighbourhood: The house is located in the peaceful region of Comporta characterised by rural towns, wild Atlantic beaches & a raw rugged landscape: vineyards, rice fields & pine forests tumble down hillsides, while the ocean is a constant uninterrupted smudge on the horizon.
Things to know: While most things are walkable, a stay here is best with your own set of wheels so you can explore freely. Be aware too that Comporta is quite seasonal, so outside of the summer months, some restaurants close. That being said, October & Spring are our favourite times to visit without the crowds.

Casa dos Pescadores is located in the centre of Comporta village, around an hours’ drive from Lisbon. Fly to Lisobn & rent a little car to take a road trip while finding some freedom while you’re there.
