Aljana Guest House
ALENTEJO / GUESTHOUSE / WATCHLIST
A charming guesthouse nestled in the quiet town of Beja, Alentejo, a place that acts as the gateway to the region’s magnificent vineyards & historical towns. Slightly off the beaten track, this typically Portuguese house has been family owned for more than 150 years & its whitewashed walls cloak seven calming suites to retreat to after days spent exploring.
Three bedrooms in the main house & four mezzanine rooms in a separate building across the garden are decorated blending natural & traditional materials & modern amenities held in white colours & wooden details. Outside, a courtyard hides a beautiful garden patio filled with pampas grasses around a small swimming pool, essential in the Alentejo summer heat.
In the morning, wake to a delicious fresh breakfast prepared with local ingredients before setting out to explore. The house has been family owned for more than 150 years, & the owners will be happy to assist you with any advice for the town or the region.
